Katerina Ioannidou

Katerina Ioannidou is a CNRS research scientist in the team of Physics and Mechanics of Discrete Materials (PMMD) of the Laboratory of Mechanics and Civil Engineering (LMGC) in the University of Montpellier in France since 2018. 

She received her undergraduate degree in Physics at the National and Kapodistrian University (NKUA) of Athens in Greece. She obtained a MSc in Theoretical Physics at Utrecht University (UU) in the Netherlands and her PhD in Science from the Department of Civil Environmental and Geomatic Engineering at ETH Zurich in 2014. Before joining  CNRS, Katerina was a post-doctoral researcher at MIT in the Concrete Sustainability Hub (CSHub) of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) and in the joint MIT/CNRS/Aix-Marseille University laboratory Multi-Scale Materials Science for Energy and Environment (<MSE>ˆ2). She received her habilitation to direct research (HDR) from University of Montpellier in France in 2021.
