The PMMD team develops an activity around modeling discrete media in the physical-mechanical interface, which combines fundamental research (micro-mechanic, homogenization, numerical methods, experiments…) for various applications. It allows this team to play a unifying role at regional (particularly, through MiDi network), national and international levels. The team’s thematic revolve around the rheological behavior of granular media and dense suspensions, fragmentation proceeds, agglomeration and granulation, compaction of powders, geomaterials behaviors or else, thermo-mechanical behaviors of the tribological interfaces.
