In addition to a purely mechanical interest, I am interested in the development of discrete multi-physics methods. By multi-physics means a coupling of the mechanics with electrical, thermal or chemical components. This is motivated by the reality of tribological interfaces where, within a contact, the mechanics do not govern the rheology of the interface alone and where the interactions between these different physics are important to address fundamental questions but also applied.
